Adobe Indesign CS6 and CS5: Importing PNG’s with Transparency

This is more of a tip than an actual tutorial. If you are having trouble importing an image with transparency into InDesign CS6, CS5 or even some earlier versions and you want to retain the transparency of the image here is what you do. If you place the image and it won’t retain its transparency open the image in Fireworks and re-save the image as PNG-32. This format will retain the transparency when brought into InDesign.
